Chrysler had many a celebrated concept car during the 1940s and 1950s, but none so much as the Thunderbolt or the Newport phaeton, collected together for this article from SIA #28, May-June 1975. Rather than clutter the story with yet another viewpoint on the milestone cars, the editors convinced Alex Tremulis, the designer of the Thunderbolt, to tell the story in his own words, unfiltered. As one would expect in a story narrated by a designer, plenty of photos and illustrations tell the story here.
